Advanced 4-axis CNC Machining Strategies

Recently, we have fabricated a series of high precision components for a valued customer. We implemented a 4-axis CNC machining strategy on our Okuma machine, enhanced with a Haff & Schneider Rotoklick attachment. Following this, we executed a cyber-physical digital twin CNC program simulation for machining time optimization as well as preventing tool collision, while ensuring the achievement of tight tolerances.

To ensure utmost precision and stability throughout the machining process, the raw material, sized approximately 150mm x 130mm x 100mm, was securely affixed to a Lang 48155-125 Vise – a self-centering vise by LANG Technik GmbH. The entire manufacturing process took an approximate time of two hours per piece.
